A caution is certainly necessary for the Western world, particularly for people eating food at the grocery store and restaurants. Do you know someone like that?
Like the aristocrats of ancient Rome, many Americans are literally eating themselves to an early death. I think that with little knowledge base, supported by statistics and research on the cutting advanced health and science, people can take simple steps and put the odds of living longer and healthier lives back in their favor. There are 8 main diseases that have swept the country since the 1940s. They were virtually unknown in the late 20th century.
I started doing some my own research, because I am one of 77 million baby boomers born between 1946 and 1964, rapidly aging and want to keep my health as long as possible.
There are a lot of contradictory information available, which explains why many people are confused about what to do to stay healthy. I have heard people say things like "there is no contradiction to much, who knows what to expect – I'll eat only what I want and risk.
Incredibly, called some of the studies I read were funded by the same industries have been directly affected by the results! For example, we take a gravity survey the effects of pesticide use when it is funded by a manufacturing pesticides? Or a study on the effects of dairy products in patients with asthma and allergies, which was funded by the Dairy Council of America?
I call this science junk. They begin with a testing proposal then find a way to manipulate the data to prove it! I decided to sift through science and only qualify studies on the funding source has been disconnected from an interested party.
In addition, I began to study people who were healthy themselves and maybe had to overcome the illness through holistic healing or herbal remedies, people which have been defined, verifiable results (like me), using alternative medicine. It has always been something about our "drug and surgery "approach to health care has never made sense to me. During my research I found many people who supported the idea that good health is the result of choices in food, nutrition, water, exercise and rest. Using a combination of carefully filtered scientific studies, stories, and common sense, I felt that if the body is given to these five elements in the form and the appropriate amount, the agency can solve any problem.
Most of us assume that we are living longer long, because the statistics for longevity has increased over the last 100 years. But the sad truth is that because these 8 diseases are growing so quickly, we live in is … shorter but takes longer to die. Our technology keeps us alive longer, but quality is sacrificed in the process of life. Is it really the dignity that our senior citizens may take months or even years in a vegetative state hooked to a machine?
What about the economic impact of this trend?
I used suggests that normal aging is the same for everyone. You receive one of eight fatal disease and die slowly. Imagine my surprise when I learned that heart disease, the number one killer of Americans, is a relatively new disease! The 1909 edition of the classic U.S. Principles and Practice of Medicine, only 15 pages devoted to cancer. Breast and prostate are not even mentioned; colon cancer received 2 lines. In contrast, the 1994 edition of Principles of Internal Medicine 174 pages devoted to this disease.
Stroke, which was very few people there a hundred years, is now the third leading cause of fatal deaths of Americans.
The disease Alzheimer's was not even diagnosed until 1907. Today, 40% of those age 85 suffer.
Diabetes has increased 600% in just one generation. Each year, diabetes kills more than double that of American women as breast cancer.
Over 40 million Americans suffer from some form of arthritis or osteoporosis. Ask any American women what disease fears breast cancer and most likely going to say. However, hip fractures kill more women than breast, cervix and uterus combined.
Finally, there are autoimmune diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome, Epstein-Barr, lupus, fibromyalgia and AIDS. I lump into one big category, and this group is growing like wildfire in the law of the United States now. Back 20 years, did not even name the Most of these things and many of them were dismissed by doctors as a psychological lexical. But symptoms of these disorders serious diseases Autoimmune havoc on the health of tens of thousands of Americans, and in the case of AIDS, killing people at an alarming rate.
Clearly, something went terribly wrong here, and it happened in our lives. However, we act as if all these diseases are only part of the normal process aging! Not! There is nothing normal or natural degenerative disease. We believe that this is normal, as a way to deal with the new terrible reality of illness and disease in the modern world.
Many of these deaths are totally unnecessary.
And this is the tragedy. When a plane crash and a few hundred people die, makes front page news for days. But when one million people die of disease heart or half a million people die of cancer, one would have thought there would be more of a protest. It is the equivalent of a jumbo jet full of people crashing every single hour of every day of every month for a year, year after year.
How long do you live? Until what age? 70? 80? 90? 100 +? What are you due? Now take that figure and add 10 years more healthy for her. And if you could live up to 100 years and beyond without the pain and disease that most people think comes with old age?
Today the average person lives approximately 76. It is 79 for women and 72 men. However, in some areas of centenarians in the world are common. We have only recently begun, to know why.
Today, the risk of dying from anything before 40 is actually very low. But from 40, enter the field the 8 deadly diseases. How are they fatal? They kill more than 80% of us is sad, because most of the time can be avoided.
In summary food, nutrition, water, exercise and rest are the keys to enjoy the highest level of optimal health for many years after we thought possible.
