Why does my urine stream scattered or dispersed almost every time I have to pee? Should I worry?

During last 10 years or so I had difficulty in urinating, as used to be able to. Instead of sitting in front a urinal and let flow, so to speak, seems to get in the right frame of mind, it is an intense mental battle just to keep until the end. Also, my urine stream is not linear, but usually is not dispersed or divided "Flux". I'm only 23, so I doubt that is an enlargement of the prostate, but the more I learn, the more I wonder if I should tell my doctor. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with me, or am I alone here?
