It is the mucus in the stools when taking doxycycline bad?

I am 16 years old, suffers from a mild infection of the prostate, so my doctor prescribed doxycycline. I have 2 other pills to take, only took 1 last ten minutes. I just used the room Bath and had mucus in my stool. I told my father and he said just keep taking the tablets last 2 and do not worry, they have not enough money to get a doctor. I'm worried because I have some abdominal discomfort and of course the mucus in the stools of me and my piece paper, tell your doctor if you experience these side effects. Could be serious or should I go? Has anyone experienced this? What does this mean?

I just read that the loose stools is a common side effect. Never mentioned mucus or abdominal discomfort. He said his doc if you are taking other medicines or vitamins anacids etc., so if you could be interacting. If you fear that simply your doctors office and ask them. its costs to cope:)
