older men has been said that prostate problems do not affect the 50?

hello I'm in my mid-50 I have the great variety of symptoms of prostate problems, but my doctor says I do not want you're older, but I read a lot, including the NHS website page which says that men in their 50 years suffer from some type of prostate problem, I wonder if this is common with men my age or is it just my doctor which is very embarrassing to go to the doctor with the wide variety of symptoms and was told no, he did not not reviewed and obtain any other person with experience

Please go to see another doctor and insist on obtaining your PSA. I do not want to be alarmist, but my partner was diagnosed with prostate cancer over time at the age aged 55 years and who had complained of prostate problems for a couple of years. Early diagnosis has been given many more options for the treatment and control.
