Need advice, the husband has an infection of the prostate is possible?

My husband has done some damage in the region of the prostate, as that sharp knife like pains since I was young, I come and go. He is 23 years and this time, the pain remained and became very ill. He was a doctor who said that the enlargement of the prostate, it sounds like an infection, and gave him one month CYPRO value and told him to make love as much as you can .. Has been a week and feel horrible, you can not working, he is in severe pain. The doctor said to wait three weeks to go .. I do not know what to do, we are about to go alone to the emergency room. The drugs do not appear to be at work and the guy did not even show it or anything. Does anyone have advice or know what it could be? Any help is appreciated.
