What third party coverage mandatory for certain health services?
I am doing a project on prostate cancer .. and I do not understand this statement: Twenty-six states have enacted laws that mandate coverage thirdparty for detecting prostate cancer.
First understand that insurance is a regulated industry. Secondly, I understand that states regulate insurance companies, which means that the rules are different each state. Thirdly, understand that insurance companies do not care about your health, my health or any other person health. They are in business to make money and one way to earn money is to pay out any claims maybe. I do not value judgments here, it's just really a company in this sector. In this context, what the statement means that 26 states have enacted laws that say: "If you go to purchase health insurance in our country, its politics have to pay for screening Cancer of the prostate. "Is this reasonable?
