Anyone over 75 years undergoing robotic surgery for cancer?
I had a prostate biopsy and the results were positive cancer with a Gleason score of 6. Subsequent studies showed that the cancer had not spread beyond the prostate. My Urologist recommended that robotic surgery to remove the prostate. I am 76 years versus healthy.
Whereas person prostatectomy is the way to follow. I worked for several hospitals that use it. The surgery is faster, more accurate, less invasive and recovery time is near half. I saw many men over 75 years of surgery in this way. 75 is not so old that used to be! Best of luck.
