Two forms of vitamin E helps reduce the risk of prostate cancer in men

high blood levels of either alpha-tocopherol or Gamma-tocopherol, both forms of vitamin E appears to reduce by half the risk of prostate cancer in a reanalysis of the ATBC trial, which supports the findings earlier showing that the vitamin protects against cancer, writes Dominique Patton.

Original results of the ATBC study, which included nearly 30,000 Finnish men showed that supplementation day of alpha-tocopherol (50 mg) reduced the risk of prostate cancer by 32 percent.

Men with the highest levels of alpha-tocopherol in the blood at the start of the study were 51 percent less likely to develop cancer prostate cancer than those with lower levels in the edition of the National Institute yesteday Cancer Journal (Vol 97, No 5, PP396-399).

Similarly, men with higher levels of gamma-tocopherol were 43 percent less likely to develop the disease compared to men with low levels.

"The analysis also indicated that the combination of a high concentration tocopherols with the risk of prostate cancer is low was stronger in the alpha-tocopherol supplemented in those not receiving alpha-tocopherol, say the authors.

Vitamin E thought to fight cancer through its antioxidant activity, which combats the oxidative stress involved in cancer development. It also has other properties that are not anti-oxidants, such as improving the immune response, which may also play a role in reported earnings.

In addition, levels of vitamin E levels seen among the participants could be considered weak and do not necessarily show their support for the gamma-tocopherol.

Gamma-tocopherol, which is found naturally in walnuts, sesame seeds and corn, was found to contain the proliferation of cell cultures of human prostate in laboratory research on lung cancer at Purdue University published in December.

Previous research by the same team found that inflammation inhibits the gamma-tocopherol, which had already been implicated in cancer development.

highest tertile of alpha-tocopherol levels in the study and most 15.78mg highest tertile of gamma-tocopherol was 1.08mg.

Vitamin E researchers are eagerly awaiting the results of the Select form point of view, looking at whether high doses (400 mg) supplements of alpha-tocopherol may protect against prostate cancer. If these results do not ATBC findings, further research should examine the role of dose protection against cancer.

Christians: If masurbation is a sin, then why did it reduce the risk of prostate cancer?

Why God's plan so that masturbation is useful if it is a sin?

Masturbation God knows no "design" theory is wrong because you have no idea who God is. The fact that it can reduce the risk of cancer does not mean it is good to do so. When you masturbate that covet others, and that's what makes it a sin. "What shall we say then? I am the law sin? God forbid. Sin No, I do not know, but by the law: not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. "Romans 7:7
