My father was diagnosed yesterday with an elevated PSA (prostate specific antigen) that?
(said his doctor) is a precancerous condition of the prostate. He said he wants to see my dad in 2 months to see if his condition is, and that nothing should be done in the meantime. Based on their experience, Is this good advice? So my father get a second opinion, or simply to trust this doctor? Is there something that my father do?
Honestly, I would wait two months. prostate cancer progresses very slowly and is one of the highest survival rate for all cancers. As someone said, nothing can be done before it is actually cancer. If this can console you, my father had prostate cancer in the past, like maybe 5 years ago. He had tons of health and fear of being as 12 years when I was scared to death! It has not undergone radiotherapy and chemotherapy for non – so long and now is again Health. He was very scared when I learned that my father had cancer, but I can say that since he has taken very early and now the situation is being monitored, the father will be fine.
