Dioxin and cancer
When I was in eighth grade my science project was on the effects of Agent Orange. Was 25 years ago and it blows my mind time to see the long-term effects are still measured.
A study 1495 veterans who underwent radical prostatectomy to remove their prostate cancer showed that the 206 exposed to Agent Orange had almost 50 percent higher risk of cancer recurrence in spite of its relatively aggressive cancer seemed at the time of surgery. And, the cancer returned with a vengeance: the time it took prostate specific antigen or PSA, level two – an indicator of aggression – is eight months, compared to more of 18 months among those not exposed to veterans.
Although researchers are not sure what the reason is that I've Got a suggestion, dioxins! If you do not know Agent Orange is best known as a defoliant used in Vietnam. The chemical in Agent Orange defoliation Dioxin is a known carcinogen.
Why bother? Because dioxin is still there. Without making a science course that I'll give some few links. The FDA has a site that speaks of "acceptable" level of dioxin in foods. The World Health also has an information report on the dioxin.
So many organizations to raise funds to find a "cure" for cancer and receive advice to quit smoking. But Have you seen all those working to get rid of something like what we know causes cancer and has no level of safe exposure?
