What is the acceptable outcome for PSA for a patient who has no more of the prostate gland?
I have a friend with prostate cancer. We are confused if the test result to 0.94 ng / ml is acceptable. I think his doctor told him he should be less than 1. Estimated less than 0.1
I had my prostate after a few months ago. So far I have not received a good response to that. At My cancer was discovered, my doctor advised me that my brothers strongly influenced by genetics of the disease. After their examinations, it was very disheartening to hear the entire broadcast of the advice of their doctors individually took the meaning of your PSA test. To my brother, right. said do not worry, another could not wait to get a biopsy. (which is to have a biopsy in a week, so we know that the doctor was right) websites also contain a mixture of different truths and biased opinions to me left totally confused. Apart from that, my opinion (and only that) is that your friend is right. The EPS of 94 with a large prostate – Not cancer prostate, I would solicit the views of most doctors. My own dr. seemed to be careful – I have a bone scan, in addition to the biopsy just to have a "before" picture of one of the possible sites of cancer. If your friend had a similar experience, it might be time for the second bone scan to monitor changes. If it has not had the first scan, my orientation would schedule a doc to get at least a baseline, or at most to see if there are abnormal areas.
