That infertility is the best medicine for you?

Fertility drugs are widely accepted by physicians and companies insurance as a viable form of treatment for infertility. However, do not go into this type of treatment with a blindfold and hope for the best. Pharmaceuticals are not based on natural products and are therefore outside the human body. All drugs have side effects. Most side effects are mild and create a problem, however, if certain side effects that are more severe. Especially when taken with other drugs which may cause drug interactions. These points are not an attempt to scare, but just a warning not to take this treatment lightly.

There are three 'go to drugs than most doctors prescribed for infertility. Other options available, but these three were well tested, so we moved to the front of the prescription pad doctor.

Sterility of three classes prescription drugs are clomiphene citrate (Clomid) or Human Menotropic gonadotropin HMG (Repronex), Leuprorelin (Prostap SR).

If a woman knows frequent periods and cycles more doctors prescribe clomiphene citrate (Clomid). There are many reasons for using this medicine Not least, it is cheaper than most drugs for infertility. Clomid increased follicle growth by blockade of estrogen and causes the pituitary gland to produce hormones FSH and LH keys necessary to improve ovulation.

Clomid treatments can last up six cycles with a regiment of 1-2 tablets per day for five days from 2-5 days after the startup period. If treatment is ovulating successfully produced the 7 days following the last day of treatment. Low doses and generally begin to move gradually with each attempted cycle and other agents may be added during different cycles.

Side effects May include:

* Reduction in quality of cervical mucus
* The thinning of the endometrium
Ovarian cysts * Flushing
* Headache * Nausea
* Weight gain
* Fatigue

Menotropic human gonadotropins or HMG (Repronex) is administered by subcutaneous injection. This treatment is for women and men suffering from infertility.

For women it is a step in the treatment Clomid and improve growth improved follicles and ovulation. Women will take a series of shots per day for 5 days or more. The duration of Treatment depends on the levels of FSH and LH obtained during treatment.

Among men HMG is used to treat hypogonadotropic hypogonadism and induce the production of sperm. The men were required treatment period much longer. The injections are administered 3 times per week for several months.

Side effects May include:

* Injection site pain
* Tenderness in the lower abdomen
* Fluid retention

Leuprorelin (Prostap SR) has a wide range of applications. Prostap SR is used to treat prostate cancer and breast cancer, endometriosis or uterine fibroids, and even autism.

SR Prostap also used for ovarian stimulation in IVF (in vitro fertilization). Treatment involves an injection subcutaneously once a month.

I have heard of many cases of serious side effects to this treatment. However, the treatment plan in the first treatment of endometriosis, a common factor in infertility. If you experience extreme side effects to your doctor to weigh the pros and cons of continuing treatment.

Side effects May include:

* Loss of libido
* Hot flashes
* Osteoporosis
* Breast tenderness or fullness
* Weight gain
* Fatigue
* Nausea
* Vomiting
Diarrhea
* Dolores head

By comparing these forms of treatment is only a step towards success in their efforts to overcome infertility.

Read, read and read some more before going ahead with any form of treatment. Then consult your doctor about the best treatment option for you. Ask specific questions about risks and side effects. Do not be afraid to ask a second opinion about your diagnosis and treatment options. You can determine the amount of your doctor cares about you, depending on their reaction to the suggestion a second opinion. A physician confidence even cause the suggestion of himself or herself. Good luck and God bless.
