Tests of several cases of possible cancer
If the cancer is a possibility, it is the responsibility of the physician to obtain the necessary evidence for accurate and rapid diagnosis of cancer. More cancer is diagnosed, the sooner they can begin treatment and increase their survival chances. Some tests to be performed if cancer is suspected:
Skin Cancer
If your doctor thinks you have melanoma, he or she should do a biopsy of the area of melanoma and sent to a pathology laboratory for analysis. If the biopsy shows that melanoma May be required to do additional testing as another biopsy or lymph node dissection to determine if the cancer has spread to lymph nodes.
Breast cancer
If you find that changes in your breast, and are more than 40 years should have a mammogram, an X-ray of your breasts. If you are under 40 years, ultrasound is generally better quality detection cancer. The doctor may also take a biopsy to obtain a more accurate diagnosis.
If cancer is discovered, many different proofs of a doctor can use to determine whether breast cancer has spread. Tests vary where the doctor suspects that cancer has spread in May A. You may need a CT scan hours, the whole body, such as bone, liver and lungs places are the most common cancer among secondary is likely to undergo testing for cancer spread to these parts of the body.
Cancer Prostate
To detect prostate cancer, your doctor should examine the prostate by digital rectal examination to feel your gland prostate. If there is hard on the prostate, your doctor will recommend further testing, as test for prostate specific antigen (PSA). This blood test measures the amount of PSA in your system. A high level of PSA can indicate cancer. Other tests that can detect cancer include:
· The urine tests (for blood or infection)
· Prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP), blood
· Ultrasound
· Transrectal ultrasound
· Intravenous urography
· Biopsy
• Analysis of Pathology
Kidney Cancer
Cancer kidney may be difficult to diagnose. Many kidney tumors are found when X-rays taken for other reasons. Kidney tumors arise during abdominal examination about 20 percent of the time. For this reason, other tests should be performed. These include:
· Blood tests for infection, anemia, and renal function
· Urine to check the function renal
· Intravenous (kidney pyelogram radiographic studies)
· Ultrasound kidney
· TC kidney
· Arteriography (special x-ray of arteries and veins of the kidney)
· Ray Radiography determine the possible spread of
Cervical cancer
The Pap smear (Pap) is where the cervical cells are collected and spread on a slide for microscopic examination. It is an effective barrier to change precancerous or cancerous cells in the neck. If these cells are obvious, other tests should be performed, such as:
· HPV DNA test – to detect the presence of HPV types common risk
· Colposcopy – a follow-up is to put a vinegar type solution in the cervix to check for abnormalities
· Schiller test – a test in which iodine is placed in the neck, normal cells transform abnormal cells show brown and white or yellow.
· Biopsy – if abnormal areas are detected in the cervix, small pieces of tissue should be removed for examination

Boggle physical … can you help?
Having a problem with physical problems. Any ideas on how to resolve this problem, or you can solve the problem? THANK YOU! 1) If we begin with 10CI iridium-192 HDR in our unit, what is the activity after 3 months? (T1 / 2 = 74 days) 2) What is the average of iodine-125 implants of the prostate (T1 / 2 = 60 days)? 3) What percentage of a radioactive source remains after seven half-lives?
1) Let A0 = 10 Ci, and T1 / 2 = 74 days, T = 3 months, T1 / 2 and T must be expressed in the same units, and expressed in months, 74 days = 2.43 months on the use of the formula A = A0 e ^ (-0.693T/T1/2) where A is the activity, and A0 is half the initial value, XE Ci = 10 ^ (-0.693 x 3/2.43) = 10 Ci x 0.425 = 4.25 or 4.3 Ci Ci 2) has the following formula: T 1 / 2 = 0.693 Ta where T 1 / 2 is the average lifespan and Ta is the average lifetime average. Simply connect the half-life of 60 days = 0.693 Ta, Ta and you solve is 60/0.693 = 86.58 approximately 87 days. For number 3) Half of Life, it's just that the substance decreases by 1 / 2 of its initial value, then have the following: 3) Initially, start with 100% thereafter, as each life liberal media is reduced as follows: 1 / 2, 1 / 4 1 / 8, 1 / 16, 1 / 32, 1 / 64, 1 / 128, so for the life of 7 ½ years, you is 1 / 128 x 100% = 0.78125%
