prostate cancer radiotherapy should choose, or go for the removal of the prostate?

I am 61 years and recently diagnosed with prostate cancer of low grade. I must decide on the removal of radiation therapy or prostate complete. I want to know someone which could shed some light on this for me. I am leaning toward radiation, but need to know if this treatment makes people sick. All responses will be greatly appreciated. The "seed" therapy is not an option for me because of the size of my prostate. I listened.
