Prostate cancer forms in tissues of the prostate. With the exception of skin cancer, cancer prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. It is estimated that over 186,000 U.S. men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008. In Most men with prostate cancer, the disease develops very slowly. Most men with low grade prostate cancer early (This means that cancer cells were found only in the prostate gland) live a long time after their diagnosis. Even without treatment, many of these men die from prostate cancer, but will live with it until they eventually die of some other cause not related. However, it is estimated that 29,000 men die from prostate cancer in 2008.
