The survival rate after prostate cancer has spread to lymph nodes and bones?

My husband (who is 45 years) in October was diagnosed in 06 '. Gleason 8 (4 +4), stage D. He is on Risperdal and Eligard, and his PSA is now 0.4. His doctors say that we stay on these drugs for several years. Her cancer has already spread to the spine, hips, left femur and lymph nodes in the abdomen.
