And while most of us now know that there no magic solution, is well know that small things that can help improve our success in losing weight and keeping it off.
A study published by the Tea Council of the United Kingdom examined the effects of caffeine in green tea and weight loss and maintenance to see if any of these substances may present benefits to lose weight and keep it.
The study involved 76 people who were overweight or moderately obese. During the study, participants were placed in a very low calorie diet for a period of four weeks, after which they were placed in a program maintenance of weight for three months. Some of the participants consumed caffeine, others not.
During the period of weight loss, subjects lost an average of 5.9 kg. Those who consume caffeine have lost more weight than those who did not. They also reduced their body fat and circumference size than those who do not consume caffeine. During the period of weight maintenance, all subjects received a green tea / caffeine supplement or a placebo. They were instructed to continue their normal caffeine intake.
During the phase of weight maintenance, subjects who took green tea / Supplement caffeine continued to lose weight, even if they only have consumed caffeine took the form of the supplement. The consumers of caffeine were high see no significant effect on green tea / caffeine supplement what they already know in their consumption of caffeine.
This study has shown green tea may be a good effective way to help you lose weight, even without the extra caffeine. It is great news for those who want to lose weight but have trouble with caffeine. Because green tea is much lower caffeine content of beverages containing caffeine most others, is much better tolerated than other forms of caffeine. For those who can not tolerate caffeine, almost all beverages containing caffeine seems to help to lose weight.
We are just beginning to learn the benefits of green tea and other research are necessary before we have irrefutable evidence of exactly what benefits it offers and how. But meanwhile, there is much anecdotal evidence suggesting that green tea offers many advantages in the field of weight control and other health problems.
In other studies, tea Green has been shown to regulate blood sugar naturally, which could be of great value in the fight against obesity and diabetes. Those whose blood sugar is out of control often have trouble losing weight and often have pre-diabetes, meaning their numbers in the sugar blood are high but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. If green tea can help regulate blood sugar, may help those who are obese and those who are pre-diabetics to get their numbers in the blood sugar under control without medication.
Green tea has also been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, another disease that often affects those who struggle with their weight. It seems that green tea reduces health problems associated with high levels of LDL cholesterol, one of the most important factors in heart disease.
LDL is "bad" cholesterol, which becomes the plate and adheres to our arteries, causing narrowing of the arteries. Meaning arteries constrict blood flow, which increases the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Green tea appears to prevent LDL cholesterol curing process that makes it stick and stick to artery walls harden. If the LDL cholesterol can harden and stick to artery walls, then it does not pose the threat that you would normally.
Another important possibility that green tea can offer is the ability to prevent certain cancers. This news is also good for those who struggle with their weight as overweight have an increased risk of many forms of cancer than those who maintain normal weight. Green tea has been shown to reduce the risk of breast, prostate, gastrointestinal, lung and pancreas. We know that especially the overweight are at increased risk of breast cancer and digestive diseases.
If you have problems with his weight, there no substitute for a healthy diet and regular exercise. Only a constant effort to eat a healthy diet low in fat and high in fiber, and with an exercise routine you can stick with the commitment to improve the long-term success in maintaining a healthy weight. However, understanding tips and tricks that can speed up metabolism and burn more fat can help you achieve your goals of losing weight more easily and ensure that excess weight has disappeared forever.

Does anyone know about IGF-1 and cancer?
I just read a book that says that men with 4x the normal level of IGF-1 their bodies are at high risk for prostate cancer Contracting. I am concerned for two reasons. I lift weights and I wonder if my increased levels of elevated IGF-1 (which seems intuitively, but I do not know with certainty). Also, I take whey protein, I read it contains the IGF-1, and I drink it twice a day. Any help?
Studies of IGF-1 and cancer have shown several powerful associations between blood levels of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-1) and the risk of colon cancer, prostate and breast cancer before menopause. In Indeed, recent data indicate that IGF-1 levels high May be more important than previous reports of risk factors for cancer. IGF-1 is released by human growth hormone and stimulates the growth of the fetus and the child in all development. IGF-1 in the body is generally closely linked to a protein molecule (IGF binding protein-3) and it is shown that high levels of IGF binding protein-3 protects against the development of certain cancers. A group of eminent medical researchers at the University of Bristol now express concern by the increasing use of IGF-1 and growth hormone enhancers for bodybuilders and seniors seeking to regain their youth to escape. They suggest that IGF-1 can increase both cell renewal and the susceptibility of cells to become cancerous. They also report data Recent indicating that IGF-1 prevents the programmed death (apoptosis) of cancer cells. The researchers stress that people who use growth hormone and IGF-1 amplifiers are unlikely to be aware of their potential adverse effects. Pharmaceutical industry is fully aware of the association increasingly clear between IGF-1 and cancer. Some chemotherapy drugs are being developed to block the activity of IGF-1 or increase the activity of the protein IGF-3 binding.
