Kidney stones can cause urinary retention? May be painless?
Lately I've been urinating as much as I usually do. Pee very little, actually. Today I went to the doctor and he said it could be kidney stones. Sometimes I feel a burning sensation, but it is tolerable. I could have an enlarged prostate, but said that if I feel pain in my anus or lower back. My father had kidney stones and I said he was strong, excruciating pain as he felt. I do not feel any sharp pain, though. Kidney stones may be present in your urinary system and do not feel pain? Is that usually causes urinary retention? I go to an imaging center, Wednesday, to be sure. I am a male 21 years.
I think your doctor is crazy. Kidney stones that way will cause urinary retention is whether the blockage of the ureter. The ureter is a tube draining the kidney to the bladder. If a kidney stone that was, you'd be in severe pain and feeling sicker than a dog. The ureter stones is small and have difficulty passing through them. If the stone is in the bladder, usually transmitted easily cause the urethra is much larger and expandable. In addition, an enlarged prostate usually causes no pain what-so-ever. You must Real Big get before I'm sitting in the anus or back. If infected, that's another story. Then, you could feel the things you describe, but it does not look like. You do not mention your age but in men is usually a lock of some sort that cause urinary retention. Which can be extended in a narrowing of the prostate or a previous injury. In addition, if there was damage to the nerves that control the bladder, which can cause bladder not working properly, which leads to retention. Therefore, it is right to see a specialist, usually a urologist. But if you ask me, you need a family physician.
