Why so much support for research on breast cancer?

In recent years raising funds 8 to 10 and events charity research breast cancer has increased. In recent years, I see the pink ribbons on cars, products, even food in the supermarket mention some of the profits will be donated to research on breast cancer. Where I live, they had a "Run For The Cure" today all in support of breast cancer. I do not want to seem cold, but I think my question is … What about all the rest of the cancer? Prostate cancer? Tumors ?….. I have never, ever seen a portion of sales to support research for something else. Now I realize that breast cancer is a big …. but not alone. Statistically, every man alive to have prostate cancer at some point? Not big enough for news? I will not breast cancer …. My grandfather died of a brain tumor …. Maybe I'm missing something?

I can understand why this issue is frustrating for those with other types of cancer and their families, and support for breast cancer now is especially high profile at this time because we are in October – Awareness Month Breast Cancer. I agree that knowledge must be raised about other types of cancer, while too.and hate "disease of the competition" I can see why there is resentment by an imbalance in awareness and fundraising. However, the profile of rate of breast cancer is so high – and the answer to your question – is simple, work hard. Awareness campaigns for breast cancer and BC Awareness Month began as a campaign by ordinary women, many with cancer to increase awareness so that people know the symptoms, Review regularly attended their routine mammograms, so enthusiastic participation and hard work of women from becoming a thing nationally and internationally recognized (and cashed in big companies). Any group of people can start a campaign for a disease whatever. Months ago Cancer Awareness others, ribbons, etc., but no campaign against cancer was the colossal task was made awareness breast cancer. Now, I had breast cancer and I agree that there is very irritating things about the campaign against breast cancer, especially by Pink in October as the most cynical of us called. Support for people with a deadly disease that kills an average 33 women a day in the United Kingdom and 112 per day United States (All the statistics I have, I'm not ethnocentric) has become a market opportunity for large companies, with approximately 1% of the cost all that pink 're noticing is specially made to charities for breast cancer in the pockets of retailers. The soft pink material I am angry, and I am not at all "Tickled Pink" by the trivialization (Walmart) Asda still a disease that can kill me. Magazines carry stories of survivors in October saying that gay is a free (not so free with breast cancer), and often say that British Columbia has changed their lives for the better – Very different from anyone we know it was breast cancer. And this has negative consequences for patients with breast cancer also – I think this approach is cons, the marketing and fundraising HYPE surrounding breast cancer, by the trivialization of a deadly disease leads people to believe that breast cancer) is not very serious, probably not as bad as many other cancers (many women with breast cancer said — by people who do not – which is a "good cancer" to get) and b) curable. (my neighbor told me: "you almost had breast cancer licked, right? "Really?" Why women's breasts cut off then?) I even heard that is a "cancer hot," "cancer sexy '- and my prosthesis naked marking a body of evidence that breastfeeding is Not so. Yes, Pink October is terrible in the car in some respects and others need awareness campaigns (many as I have said, but has not received much support – or, essentially have much work put in them). But do not lose sight of the fact that breast cancer is a deadly disease, the disfigurement of surgery, treatment and exhausting to This has no cure. The fact that aspects of consciousness BC trivialize not mean it is trivial. If the brain or cancer of the prostate causes nearly in your heart (and good for you if you are), nothing prevents you and others to launch a campaign the same way some women have started Overall cancer awareness campaign for breast cancer did. You must be equally committed and they were working as hard as they did when I am in remission from breast cancer, has no pink ribbon and support the work of the Think Before You Pink and Pink stinks!, campaigns startd by women with Breast Cancer http://thinkbeforeyoupink.org/?page_id=13
