Possible side effects of radiotherapy for prostate cancer

Despite the precautions taken to ensure the highest radiation accurately as possible, there is always somewhere effects associated with radiotherapy of the prostate, even with the best treatment. "In partly because to reach the prostate from outside, X-rays must pass through healthy tissues (bladder, intestines, skin) and partly because an area around prostate needs to be addressed if the prostate is in a slightly different position each day (for example, because the bladder is full to varying degrees) and because it can treat any cancer cells that try to invade outside the prostate.

In early adverse reactions

a. Tiredness and fatigue – the majority of patients receiving radiotherapy are tired, especially toward the end of treatment.

b. The skin reaction – this is usually very mild treatment of prostate cancer and may slightly knock the skin or sometimes a passage of LBP

c. Diarrhea – X-rays have to traverse a portion of your intestine to reach the prostate gland, which can irritate the bowel and cause diarrhea, you can usually well controlled by medication

d. Cystitis – a burning sensation during urination is due to irritation of the bladder by X-rays on the path of the prostate gland

e. Batteries – these can often relapses during treatment

f. Loss Hair – you may lose some of their pubic hair, where X-rays pass through the skin, but it usually grows back after treatment is completed, the hair on the head that are not affected

g. Impotence – Radiotherapy May, it is difficult for you to have or maintain an erection

AFTERNOON SIDE EFFECTS

In a small number of patients with permanent damage to the bowel or bladder may may occur and sometimes require treatment. Impotence in some men do not heal.

Although there are other ways of treating prostate cancer, which is considered as proven techniques and procedures.
