Prostate Cancer – PSA relapse – Help definition?
I want to know the definition of PSA relapse. I "m reading Mulitple by Clinical studies on the doubling time of PSA (PSA-DT) and its relationship with overall survival, etc. All references and use of this term, but not define. Is it simply the point where they begin to address public interest, having reached the lowest point? My husband advanced prostate cancer metastasis and is under hormonal treatment. Your ads have begun to increase. The closest thing I can say (from calculators on the Web), their PSADT is ~ 65 days, and had a nadir "of 0.2. All articles that speak to the point of survivial PSA relapse. What is it and, More importantly, he comes to that? Please answer only if you know what you're talking about … Thank you in advance.
PSA relapse PSA is a man begins to increase after a period of not necessarily stable nadir. When a man is subjected to hormonal treatment is often your PSA not a correct reading after a few months and during this time can be increased to a point where the stables. You should also know of a relapse is not based on PSA alone alone. Hope this helps. Best wishes to both.
