Then my husband enlarged prostate prevents us from getting pregnant?
My Hubbs and inclusive and I was on 1 1 / 2 years. He is 55, and I'm 35 years old. He has an enlarged prostate. Let's get the sperm count done before. But just wanted to know what was thought ago about this problem. If we do not prevent it from PG, there is nothing we can do to reduce it? I know we can go to IVF, but is very expensive. Ideas?
Yes enlarged prostate can interfere with fertility. the prostate is located near the urethra, This explains why men have a low flux and difficulty urinating in that condition. The prostate may effectively prevent the mixing of sperm in seminal fluid when it is higher. Cut the tube of the need for sperm to pass through. Men may experience painful ejaculation, if so the case due to a "washing" is performed. In addition, if the extension is due to an infection, you can do two things. First, Secrets of fluid from the prostate, which is part of the seed. This fluid stabilizes the pH of the sperm need to survive in semen. When infected, the prostate can not create the right pH to kill sperm. Secondly, the secretions of the prostate actaully can transmit the infection to sperm. So if an egg is fertilized, the chances of miscarriage is high because the infected semen. The last thing and not really discussed (it is hard to find information on all this!) Is that infections of the prostate that deplete testosterone. This can lead to very poor volume and motility of sperm and erectile dysfunction (the basis of the design, eek!). It is good that your husband move forward with a semen analysis. It would be ideal if the cause of enlargement was found and could be treated. This would facilitate fertility and control can help avoid expensive things, such as IVF. Good luck Babydust!
